Mr. Richard Kershaw Managing Director, Catalyst Repository Systems Asia, Ltd. |

|
Abstract |
Since 2006, the global compliance and litigation environment globally has changed dramatically. The expectations of regulators and civil courts regarding the submission of electronic files in support of corporate objectives have become more informed and stringent. The responsibility for locating and appropriately preserving corporate electronic files for these matters falls on the shoulders of IT administrators and infrastructure managers. However, the sheer volume of electronic data in corporate environments and the range of formats in which it can be stored makes location and preservation a significant challenge. This presentation will focus on how those responsible for internal data location and preservation can use existing tools and techniques to minimize the impact of these challenges, and discuss the range of options for augmenting the corporate data management posture.
